Box Tops for Education You can support AUS by collecting Box Tops for Education from General Mills and many other products. Just clip the Box Tops and send them in. (Please note that these are different than the Campbell soup labels for education.) Our classrooms have a little friendly contest to see which class can bring the most box tops per student each month. So if you know a student at AUS, send the box tops with them. If you just want to help out, you can mail them to the school at Adventist Union School, 15548 Santa Ana Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706. Thanks for your support. Upcoming Events Amazon Smile If you shop on Amazon, you can go to http://smile.amazon.com and designate "Adventist Union School" as your favorite charity. Then Amazon will donate a portion of your sale to AUS. Your regular Amazon account and shopping lists all work the same. It's just that AUS benefits. Give it a try! Parent/Teacher Conference On Thursday, Oct. 29th, we will be conducting Parent-Teacher conferences. The best way to accomplish this would be by Zoom online meetings. We’ll get together to discuss and strategize how we can better guide all students to achieve their goals. This day will be reserved for these meetings and there will be NO regular student instructions on this day. Instead, students will stay busy completing online assignments or take-home packets. In the following week, we will work to schedule parents into specific time-slots for these meetings. Distance Learning We are continually finding ways to effectively teach our students remotely. We are using great internet tools and websites, and including various technology to deliver instructions. We have even begun PE on Zoom, and the results have been impressive, thus far. Week one has been pretty smooth.
